Seismology Institute predicts no devastating quake in Kazakhstan in 2024

The National Center for Seismological Observation and Research predicts no strong earthquake in the territory of Kazakhstan in 2024. Director of the Center Daulet Sarssenbayev said it at a briefing today, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In his words, last week the Center carried out an analysis of the seismic situation for the current and  mid-term period.

The Commission for Assessment of the Seismic Situation forecasts, with the probability of 70%, no devastating earthquake in the territory of Kazakhstan in 2024, Sarssenbayev said.
