Self-nominee Daumbekov withdrawn from race - CEC
ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Secretary of the Kazakh Central Electoral Commission Bakhyt Meldeshev told at the briefing that self-nominee Mussagali Daumbekov has withdrawn from the race today.
According to the secretary, the presidential candidate did not explain his decision.
Mussagali Daumbekov addressed the mass media representatives himself. "I have just withdrawn from the face as long as I feel that I am not able to collect one hundred thousand signatures," he said.
Thus, to date there are 4 registered presidential candidates - Nursultan Nazarbayev nominated by "Nur Otan" Party, Zhambyl Akhmetbekov representing the Communist People's Party, Gani Kassymov nominated by the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan and self-nominee, leader of "Tabigat" ecological movement Mels Yeleussizov.
