Seminar on Kazakhstan-Latvian cooperation kicks off in Almaty
"Business meetings and seminars like this one are of paramount importance, because they afford an opportunity not only to discuss current problems, but also to establish new partnership based on mutual trust and benefit," said Yesetzhan Kosubayev, the head of the representative office of Latvian Rietimu Bank in Kazakhstan.
The pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, Latvian legislation and European regulations were tabled within the framework of the seminar. Those present also reviewed the ways of attracting investments and financing of transactions.
Last year Latvia and Kazakhstan commemorated 20 years of diplomatic relations. Over two decades the countries have managed to establish a productive political dialogue and mutual profitable economic ties. In 2012, the sales turnover increased for 30%, this is one of the best indicators among Latvia's trade partners.
