Senate adopted amendments to law on mass media

ASTANA. January 5. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Upper House of the Parliament has considered in the second reading bill ?On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mass media?, Kazinform correspondent reports.

This draft law was elaborated with the aim of further liberation of legislation in mass media and removing administrative barriers regulating the activity of mass media. During discussions it was noted that the amendments were directed primarily on protection of the journalists while exercising their professional activity. After the discussion the Law was adopted.
