Senate adopted Law on amnesty in connection with 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence

ASTANA. December 7. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Senate has adopted the Law "On amnesty in connection with the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" at a plenary session.

As Minister of Justice Rashid Tussupbekov noted, that 16,187 persons will be covered by an amnesty, 2,142 people will be released from places of detention.
