Senate Committee Chairman met Ambassador of Mexico
ASTANA. February 24. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate?s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Kuanysh Sultanov has met with Ambassador of Mexico to Kazakhstan Salvador Campos Icardo today, Kazinform has learnt from the Chamber?s press-service.
The parties discussed state and prospects of bilateral cooperation development including the inter-parliamentary ties.
K. Sultanov noted that ?interaction of supreme representative bodies is an important direction of the interstate relations?, and spoke for further strengthening of the political dialogue and trade-economic partnership. According to the senator, Kazakhstan and Mexico have great potential for enhancement of mutually beneficial trade interests, tourism and cultural exchange.
The Mexican diplomat also emphasized his country?s interest in further strengthening the bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan and noted that ?parliamentary diplomacy provides understanding between the nations and contributes to the development of ties both in bilateral and multilateral formats?.
S. Icardo invited Kazakh parliamentarians to take part in the events dedicated to the celebration of Independence Day in Mexico in 2010.
