Senate ratified 8th Additional Protocol to Constitution of Universal Postal Union

ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Senate has adopted the Law "On ratification of the Eighth Additional Protocol to the Constitution of the Universal Postal Union" at the plenary session.

Minister of Communications and Information Askar Zhumagaliyev presenting the bill said that the Protocol was signed in Geneva on August 12, 2008 at the 24^th Congress of the Universal Postal Union. The bill aims at all-round cooperation of the states and their postal administrations in the sphere of postal services provision.

The Protocol provides an obligation of the member states of the Universal Postal Union to observe the conditions of the Universal Postal Convention, Letter Post Regulations and Parcel Post Regulations.
