Senate ratified Int'l Convention for Suppression of Counterfeiting Currency, with Protocol
ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Senate of the Kazakhstan Parlaiment has adopted the Law "On ratification of the International Convention for the Suppression of Counterfeiting Currency, with Protocol" at its plenary sitting today.
"According to the document, the participating states will be provided with assistance in the prevention and punishment of counterfeiting currency", Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Agency on Struggle against Corruption and Economic Crimes A. Lukin said.
To date, 65 countries have joined the Convention and Protocol signed on April 20, 1929 in Geneva.
