Senate ratified Kazakhstan-Ukraine Agreement on coop in prevention of emergencies

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today at the plenary session Kazakh Senate has adopted Law On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Ukraine on cooperation in prevention of emergencies and liquidation of their consequences, Kazinform reports.

As Minister of Emergencies Vladimir Bozhko noted, presenting the document, the Agreement signed on September 17, 1999 in Kiev provides for creation of a legal basis for cooperation of Kazakhstan and Ukraine in prevention and liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations, joint actions in case of accidents, catastrophes and disasters on the territory of one of the countries.
