Senate ratified Protocol Additional on adoption of ?Red Crystal? emblem

ASTANA. February 26. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of the Kazakh Parliament adopted the Law ?On ratification of the Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions as of August 12, 1949 and relating to the Adoption of the Additional Distinctive Emblem (Protocol III)?, Kazinform reports.

The main purpose of the Protocol is confirmation and addition to the provisions of the Geneva Convention of new emblem of ?Red Crystal? and two other Protocols to them, concerning distinctive emblems of ?Red Cross? and ?Red Crescent?. The Protocol recognizes the equal status of ?Red Crystal? emblem alongside with other distinctive emblems of the Geneva Convention and two other protocols.
