Senate ratifies CU agreement on elimination of technical barriers to trade with CIS countries

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At today's plenary session Senate has adopted the law "On ratification of the agreement of the Customs Union member-states on the elimination of technical barriers to mutual trade with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, non-member states of the Customs Union."

According to the Minister for Investment and Development Asset Issekeshev, the agreement defines the order and conditions of joining the CIS member-states, non-members of the Customs Union, to the technical regulations of the Customs Union. Adoption of the document will enhance the efficiency of trade and economic cooperation, expand investment collaboration, increase the volume of bilateral trade and support sustainable economic growth.
