Senate ratifies European Cultural Convention
ASTANA. November 25. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Senate has adopted the Law "On ratification of the European Cultural Convention" at a plenary session.
"The Convention was concluded in 1954. Nowadays 49 states joined it. Accession to the European Cultural Convention makes contribution to cooperation development of our country with the countries of Europe and will give opportunity for joint cultural-educational projects implementation", Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva said it introducing the bill.
She noted that accession to the European Cultural Convention would increase Kazakhstan's competitiveness in the education sphere. Besides, it will allow the Kazakh experts to work in special committees of the European Union.
