Senate ratifies readmission deal with Belarus

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At today's plenary session Senate had adopted the law "On ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on readmission, and the executive protocol on the implementation of the agreement on readmission between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus."

"The agreement was signed in Astana on October 4, 2013. Ministers of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Belarus inked the document. The agreement provides for procedures for identification and readmission of persons, violated the conditions of entry or residence on the territories of the states," said the Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov presenting the bill. The Minister added, that ratification of the agreement will allow counteracting illegal migration in accordance with international law.
