Senate Speaker: It's needed to intensify Kazakhstan-Estonia parliamentary cooperation

ASTANA. April 13. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Speaker Kairat Mami received Ambassador of Estonia to Kazakhstan Jaan Hein.

The sides exchanged opinions on further development of Kazakh-Estonian bilateral relations. Noting that Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening cooperation with Estonia, "which is a reliable partner for our country," K.Mami said the two countries have "great potential in the successful development of investment and trade and economic relations."

According to the Speaker, Kazakhstan "has created all necessary conditions for realization of investment projects."
As for the issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, Mami called for the intensification of parliamentary cooperation groups functioning in the parliaments of both countries.

Jaan Hein, who became the first Estonian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, praised the outcome of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev's official visit to his country in April 2011. As the diplomat said, "the results of negotiations at the highest level gave further impetus to our bilateral cooperation."

Also Hein, supporting the proposal of the Speaker of the Kazakh Senate to strengthen the capacity of the parliamentary cooperation groups, stressed that "an understanding between the parliaments helps resolve all issues of bilateral relations."
