Senate Speaker Mami praises chamber's successful work

ASTANA. June 27. KAZINFORM Senate Speaker of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami has attended a press briefing after the plenary session of the chamber in Astana today.

"Over the latest session the Kazakh Senate has approved 96 laws. Most laws were amended in line with the new "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy suggested by President Nazarbayev," K. Mami said.

In his words, the upper chamber of the Kazakh Parliament paid utmost attention to the ratification of a number of international agreements aimed at further development of integration within the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space.

Mr. Mami also thanked journalists for unbiased coverage of the work done by the Senate and congratulated them on the upcoming Journalists' Day.
