Senate Speaker, OSCE Sec Gen exchanged views on Kazakhstan’s OSCE chairmanship

ANA. November 12. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut today, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Senate.

The sides exchanged opinions on the topical issues of the agenda of the coming Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship.

The Kazakh Speaker informed the Secretary General on the process of preparation to a parliamentary conference entitled "Eurasian Dimension of the OSCE" that will be held in May 2010 in Almaty.

K.Tokayev invited M.P. de Brichambaut to take part in the conference as a speaker.

Concerning the Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship, the Speaker noted that big preparatory work involving all state authorities including the Parliament is underway.

M.P. de Brichambaut stressed the key role of Kazakhstan in effective CORFU development process during the period of its chairmanship.
