Senate Speaker receives head of OSCE/ODIHR observation mission

ASTANA. March 24. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received head of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission Daan Everts.

The issues of the upcoming presidential elections in Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting; the Senate's press service reports.

The Senate Speaker emphasized that "Kazakhstan authorities do all the best to conduct the presidential elections in accordance with international standards."

The Senate Chairman drew D.Everts' attention to significant interest of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in the upcoming presidential elections.

The Ambassador introduced an interim report of the mission on the pre-election situation. According to K.Tokayev, this document objectively covers the electoral campaign in our country.
