Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev addressed the participants of the 1st Kurultai of Central Asia's  Social Entrepreneurs, which brought together guests and social entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In his speech, Ashimbayev highlighted development of traditional friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Central Asian countries, which “is one of key priorities for Kazakhstan.”

In his words, the interaction between the Central Asian states has been successfully developing in many areas. The interaction and partnership between the parliaments is enhanced consistently, he said.

In early 2023, we held the 1st Central Asian interparliamentary Forum in Turkistan. We had a constructive dialogue and discussion of the acute issues of cooperation. The deputies of the Central Asian parliaments adopted Turkistan Declaration, which outlines the priority areas of interparliamentary cooperation for the nearest years. The key area is ramping up interaction in social sphere. The aim of this work is to improve wellbeing and quality of lives of our citizens, said Ashimbayev.

He also emphasized active development of cooperation between the CIS deputies.

Last week, Bishkek hosted the 56th plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, which discussed the important issues of strengthening the interaction between our law-making structures. Today we welcome the opening of the 1st Kurultai of Central Asia’s Social Entrepreneurs. We hope this forum will become a permanent platform for fruitful cooperation of social entrepreneurs of Central Asia. From the side of the Senate, we are ready to provide all required assistance to this initiative and promote the implementation of regional social initiatives.
