Senators approve ratification of Belarus-Kazakhstan readmission agreement

MINSK. KAZINFORM - The Council of the Republic approved the ratification of the Belarus-Kazakhstan agreement on readmission at a session on 30 May, BelTA has learned.

The agreement was signed in Astana in 2013. It sets forth the grounds for and the procedure of handing over and receiving nationals of Belarus and Kazakhstan, nationals of third countries and stateless people who stay in Belarus or Kazakhstan illegally.

The MPs also approved the Belarus-Kazakhstan agreement on the rules of stay of citizens of the two countries in Belarus and Kazakhstan. The agreement was concluded in Astana in 2013 with a view to unifying the rules of stay of citizens of the SES member states in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The Council of the Republic approved ratification of the agreement on cooperation in the education sector between the governments of Belarus and Mongolia. The agreement was signed in Ulan Bator in 2013. The document spells out the main cooperation areas in education. It first of all pertains to the exchange of experience in the pivotal areas of development, planning and organization of the national education systems; establishment and development of direct contacts between educational establishments; exchange of students, postgraduates, scientists and educators as well as official delegations; organization of joint conferences, seminars, symposiums, and other events in the education sector and scientific research, BelTA reports.
