Sergei Lebedev to head CIS observation mission at presidential elections in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Sergei Lebedev will head the CIS observation mission at the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan.

"Sergei Lebedev, the Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary, will head the CIS observation mission at the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan. Mr. Lebedev visited Kazakhstan on numerous occasions and was the head of the mission before," head of the CIS observation mission headquarters Yevgeniy Sloboda said at the press briefing of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"We plan to visit a number of regions of Kazakhstan during the monitoring process. The mission will familiarize with work of candidates' campaign headquarters, election commissions and meet with international observers," he added. The early presidential elections in Kazakhstan are scheduled for 26 April 2015.
