Serik Akhmetov visited enterprises in Ekibastuz

ASTANA. September 6. KAZINFORM Today, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has visited Ekibastuz town during his working trip to Pavlodar region, The PM's website reports.

During the visit to LLP "Kazakhstan car-building company" the Prime Minister inspected the production of freight cars. This investment project has been launched within the framework of the state programed of forced industrial innovative development. It is aimed at producing 2,000 wagons and 500 covered wagons a year. In the future, the company, which now employs more than 560 people, will expand the range of products with cars for certification tests, flatcars, tank cars.

At LLP "Kazakhmys Bozshakol" Akhmetov got acquainted with the implementation of the project "Construction of Bozshakol mining and smelting plant", which is also included in the FIID program.

Bozshakol copper-molybdenum deposit contains 1,173 million tons of ore with an average proportion of copper of 0.35%. The projected capacity of the mine and the plant is 28 million tons of ore per year, which will ensure the production of copper, molybdenum and gold.

1,260 jobs have been created for the period of construction, and after the commissioning, at the beginning of 2015, there will be opened 1,500 permanent jobs.

At LLP "Prommashkomplekt" specializing in the production of switches and processing of railway wheels, Serik Akhmetov was reported on the progress of the production program and development prospects. The plant, which employs more than 470 people, will work at full capacity in the second half of 2013.
