Serik Zhumangarin appointed Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan

By a decree of the Head of State, Serik Zhumangarin has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Previously he held the post of the  Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan. 

Throughout his career, Serik Zhumangarin worked for the Kazakh Agency for Natural Monopolies Regulation, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

He was the Vice Minister of Regional Development from 2013 to 2014 and National Economy  Minister from 2017 to 2019.

In 2020-2022, he was  the Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Protection and Development of Competition.

As reported, by a decree of the Head of State, Nurlan Baibazarov has been relieved of his duties of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan
