Seven tourist complexes along 'Western Europe - Western China' highway under construction

ASTANA. March 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan has seven tourist complexes and 58 facilities of roadside infrastructure under construction along the international transport corridor "Western Europe - Western China". Minister of Tourism and Sport Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov informed of it at the Governmental Hour in the Majilis on Monday.

The Minister pointed out three big projects. Construction of the first stage of a 5 star hotel and entertainment complex under the project 'Burabai' that began in 2010. 'Kenderli' project in Mangystau region. Presently, the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Malaysia are developing a draft agreement for its construction. And 'Zhana-Ili' project - its master plan was approved and funding exceeding KZT 2 billion was provided from the 2011 national budget.

He also told about the construction of ski tourism infrastructure in Almaty, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions. Development of Shymbulak Alpine Ski Resort in Almaty is a priority. The project is included in the country's industrialization map.
