Severe frosts approaching Almaty

Air temperature will plunge as low as 23-27 degrees Celsius in Almaty on December 12-13, Kazinform News Agency cites 112 service.

Heavy snowfall and fog will also blanket the city on December 12. Strong winds will roll through Almaty.

The rescuers urge people to avoid trips to the mountains and not to neglect weather warnings.

As earlier reported, most of Kazakhstan is bracing for freezing temperatures.
