Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm to get national film studio status

The Kazakh ministry of culture and information has introduced the draft order to rename the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm joint-stock company for public debate, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports. 

The document was developed to carry out the Kazakh President’s instruction to address the pressing issues facing the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm film studio.

The draft order aims at renaming the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm joint-stock company into the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm national film studio JSC to increase the quality of films as well as to further attract foreign investments, reads the document.

The project is said to require no additional state budget funds, not entail negative social and economic, legal and any other implications, as well as not impact on national security.

The document is under public debate before November 15.
