Shanghai Cooperation Organization to hold summit in September - Lavrov

DUSHANBE. KAZINFORM - A session of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan in September, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said here Wednesday.

He is taking part in a conference of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers underway here. "Results of the ministers' work will be presented at the summit, which is called upon to give a serious impulse to the SCO consolidation," Lavrov said, Itar-Tass reports. He said the promulgation of common interests of all the SCO member-states had significance for consolidation, too.
