Share of universities with credit transfer system to increase to 45%

ASTANA. August 3. KAZINFORM The share of higher education institutions that introduced Kazakhstani model of transfer of credits alike the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) will be increased to 45% in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan reports, according to Pm.kz.

Besides, the work on establishment of an independent system of testing proficiency of university graduates is planned to be commenced. It will aim to separate the process of rendering services and assessment of their quality and establish an independent center for teacher's proficiency testing.

Besides, special departments teaching in three languages will be opened in 20 higher education institutions to fulfill the main tasks of the educational sphere. This is to be the first step towards introduction of multilingual education.

It is worth noting that these measures are taken within the process of structured and purposeful upgrade of the education system and its integration into the international education system.
