Unidentified gunmen shot volley of fires at a NATO supply oil tanker at Pabbi area near the capital city of the troubled northwest Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. The oil tanker was partially damaged, local police said.

NATO supply caravans are frequent target of terrorism. The multinational force had lost some 200 supply oil tankers and containers in various attacks during this year.

Both NATO and Pakistan inked a transit agreement last week highlighting the security aspect to supply NATO caravans. Pakistan has already been into a similar kind of agreement since 2001, signed under the United Nations' aegis for allowing "an all kind" of customs inspection and tax free supplies to NATO troop in Afghanistan.
