Shvedova, Diyas up in WTA rankings

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani Yaroslava Shvedova and Zarina Diyas have slightly improved their WTA standings, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.

Shvedova remains Kazakhstan's highest ranked tennis player at №52 followed by rising star Diyas at №53. Sadly for another Kazakhstan-based athlete Galina Voskoboeva, she plummeted 14 spots to №118. Sesil Karatantcheva showed amazing result this week by leapfrogging from №173 to №150. Yulia Putintseva went up to №169. Serena Williams from the U.S. is the leader of the WTA rankings followed by Li Na of China and Simona Halep of Romania.
