Shymkent attracts over 514bln tenge of investments in 2023

The volume of investments attracted by Shymkent  reached 514.3 billion tenge in 2023. By the end of the year, this indicator is set to reach 721.7 billion tenge. The volume of investments is expected to increase by 32% compared to 2022, Kazinform News Agency cites the municipal administration.

30 investment projects worth 80.7 billion tenge have been implemented in the city to date, with 2,147 people employed permanently.

This year, the city plans to launch 41 projects with the total volume of investments at 103.5 billion tenge. 2,836 people are expected to be employed.

The municipal administration compiled a pool of 276 investment projects for 2023-2027 amounting to 1.8 trillion tenge. More than 32,000 people will be employed as a result.

Five industrial areas are operating in the country’s third largest city. 337 projects worth 358 billion tenge are being implemented there. 273 projects have already been completed.

In 2023-2027, the city plans to implement 101 investment projects worth 395.1 billion tenge which will let employ over 11,000 people.

In general, 14 projects will be implemented in the city this year with 413 new jobs created. The volume of investments is expected to be at 14.6 billion tenge.
