Singapore and Kazakhstan to bolster civil aviation coop

The Civil Administration of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate cooperation in training aviation professionals to support aviation sector growth, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the civil aviation committee.

The memorandum was signed by director general of the Civil Administration of Kazakhstan Catalin Radu and CAAS director general Han Kok Juan as part of the Changi Aviation Summit.

The memorandum provides for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore in organizing specialized training of aviation professionals in Kazakhstan. The aviation security and aviation management programs conducted by the Singapore Aviation Academy, the CAAS education department, will be open to the civil aviation personnel of Kazakhstan and European countries. The program will help Kazakhstan train the generation of aviation professionals to boost the carrying capacity of air carriers and airports and turn Kazakhstan into a transport and logistics hub in Central Asia.

Director general of the Civil Administration of Kazakhstan Catalin Radu said the memorandum between the Civil Administration of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, one of the world’s leading aviation organizations, is of great importance for Kazakhstan.

In his turn, Han Kok Juan said the memorandum marks a major landmark in deepening cooperation Kazakhstan and Singapore in civil aviation.
