Singer Dimash Qudaibergen paying a visit to Turkestan region
Upon his arrival in Turkestan region singer Dimash Qudaibergen was received by governor Darkhan Satybaldy, Kazinform News Agency reports.
During the meeting, Satybaldy expressed gratitude for Dimash’s visit, stating that it will give a great impetus to the strengthening of spiritual and tourist development.
The governor said that a number of initiatives are underway in the region, as republican and international events attract many tourists. One of such initiatives is Voice of Turan, an international contest among performers of Kazakh songs. The contest that is to be held for the fifth time is to bring together artists from 20 countries performing Kazakh sings this year.
The contest reveals a growing interest of performers from different countries in your songs, which is encouraging and a huge responsibility for us, said governor Satybaldy, while inviting Dimash to attend the Voice of Turan contest as an honored guest.
In his speech, singer Dimash expressed his admiration for Turkestan as a spiritual center and thanked the region’s governor.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the new image of Turkestan, changes here. I like it all. I’m glad that people are residing in such a beautiful city. Turkestan has become a tourist capital of the Turkic world and is gaining recognition around the world. It’s important to preserve peace in our country! said Qudaibergen.
Dimash Qudaibergen is to give his solo concert Stranger at the Astana Arena stadium on September 13-14 in Astana. During the event, set to be held by the DimashAli creativity center with the support of the culture and information ministry as part of the 5th World Nomad Games, Dimash is to perform traditional and modern-style songs.
To note, Kazakhstani singer Dimash made videos of the region's landmarks, capturing the sacred cave Akmeshit in Baidibekskiy district as well as the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and Turkestan city’s attractions.
