Single Economic Space industrial policy guidelines in for approval

MOSCOW. January 18. KAZINFORM The major guidelines for pursuing the industrial policy within the framework of the Single Economic Space are supposed to be approved at the session of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council on 30 January, the Commission's press service told BelTA.

A meeting of EEC Minister for Industry and Agribusiness Mr Sergei Sidorsky and Belarusian Industry Minister Mr Dmitry Katerinich has been held. Sergei Sidorsky was informed about the implementation of Belarusian-Russian plans to promote cooperation in truck manufacturing, electronics, and machine tool engineering. There are plans to once again discuss the organization and development of industrial automobile assembly enterprises in the Single Economic Space at the next session of the EEC Council, the press service said. Sergei Sidorsky and Dmitry Katerinich discussed the degree of readiness of the matter for the session, Kazinform refers to BelTA.

The organization and development of automobile assembling in the Single Economic Space was also touched upon in a phone call of Sergei Sidorsky to Russian Industry and Trade Minister Mr Denis Manturov, said the source.
