Single Economic Space - peak of Kazakh-Russian integration processes: N.Nazarbayev
According to V.Putin, the integration processes between our states are intensively developing.
He also noted that in bilateral format our countries have achieved growth of trade turnover and promotion of big investment projects.
"We negotiate projects in transport infrastructure, railway transport and energy development spheres. Generally, the level of the Kazakh-Russian relations is high mostly due to your efforts. We appreciate such work," the Russian Premier said.
The Kazakh Head of State, in his turn, emphasized the significance of agreements reached in 2010, paying special attention to the establishment of the Customs Union and active work on formation of the Single Economic Space. "This is the peak of all integration processes that we have held. The results of the first year of the CU work show that the Russian export to Kazakhstan have increased by 30% reaching USD 12 bln, while the Kazakh export's increase makes USD 5 bln or 30% as well. These are the benefits of the real integration," the President said.
As the Kazakh President noted, Russia has invested about USD 3.5 bln to Kazakhstan for last five years. Kazakhstan's investments to Russia made USD 1.5 bln. To date 3.5 thousand Kazakh-Russian joint enterprises function. Big projects in engineering and aviation spheres are under realization.
Besides, N.Nazarbayev paid special attention to the expected in 2012 completion of "West Europe - West China" road's construction that would run through the territory of Russia.
