The minister stressed the need to find effective points of inter-system cooperation as well as new opportunities for economic cooperation between the two alliances: the EEU and the EU. "Earlier the leaderships of the European Union and of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia (now the EEU) raised the idea of the economic space stretching from Lisbon to Vladivostok. One of the points of interaction can be a project to create the single transit territory as part of this economic space. It is an ambitious project and I hope it will find support here at the Northern Dimension forum, first of all, among representatives of the European business," Vladimir Goshin said.

Vladimir Goshin also spoke about the progress in the work on the EEU customs code, innovations in the customs regulations designed to simplify the terms of foreign economic activity in the Eurasian Economic Union. The 6th edition of the International Business Forum Northern Dimension in St. Petersburg has been organized by the European Business Association. The forum is traditionally attended by representatives of the government and business communities of the northwest regions of Russia and bordering European countries. The theme of this year's forum is the international cooperation in the new political and economic conditions, Kazinform refers to Belta.by.
