Six regions observe growth in key economic indicators
Six regions of Kazakhstan observe growth in key economic indicators, Kazinform News Agency quotes Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov as saying at the Government’s sitting today.
According to him, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Turkistan regions, as well as Astana and Shymkent cities record growth in seven key economic indicators.
“Positive dynamics in six key indicators has been registered in Abai, Zhetysu, Almaty, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, and East Kazakhstan regions. Aktobe region and Almaty city demonstrate growth in five indicators. Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Mangistau and Ulytau regions report positive dynamics in four indicators,” said Baibazarov.
Atyrau region reported growth in one indicator only. In this regard, the ministry recommended to enhance control over utilization of budgetary funds in construction sector, as well as to complete the construction of rental housing and roads. The minister also tasked to commission investment projects in processing sector by the end of the year, and toughen control over utilization of the funds allocated for housing construction and machine-building support.
The administrators of budget programs must ensure full utilization of budgetary funds and uninterrupted transportation and sale of grain, including for export, he stressed.
Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan attracted KZT 327 bln in investments in energy sector.
