Verstappen, who is 17 next month, currently competes in Formula Three. The Dutchman, whose father Jos is a former Formula 1 driver, will replace Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne. "Ever since I was seven years old, Formula 1 has been my career goal, so this opportunity is truly a dream come true," said Verstappen, BBC News reports.
