Slovak hockeyist Martinka marries Kazakh volleyball player Shepelenko

ASTANA. June 25. KAZINFORM - 27-year-old Slovakian hockey player of Temirtau "Arystan" Lukas Martinka has married Elizabeth Shepelenko, a Kazakh volleyball player, reports Vesti.kz. After the wedding she took her husband's last name. Martinka arrived in Kazakhstan in 2011. The last two seasons the defender played in Temirtauskiy "Arystan", with which in the first year he won the Cup of Kazakhstan and became a team leader. Before coming to Kazakhstan Martinka played hockey championships in Slovakia, Austria, France, Finland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and in one of Canada's junior leagues.

Note: This year is rich for "sporting weddings" in Kazakhstan. Earlier weightlifters Maya Maneza and Vyacheslav Yershov had got married, and it was reported that on July 7 there is a wedding of another couple of weightlifters - Svetlana Podobedova and Vladimir Sedov.
