ASTANA. KAZINFORM - KAZENERGY Association has supported the idea to hold snap presidential elections, according to its director Marat Magauov.

"KAZENERGY Association uniting nearly 80 large subjects of Kazakhstan's oil & gas and energy complex, Kazmunaygas, KEGOC, KazTransOil and Samruk Energy, expresses its support to the initiative of the council of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan to hold early presidential elections in 2015," he told a press conference at the Central Communications Service on Monday. "The association believes that throughout the years of its independence Kazakhstan has demonstrated high rates of economic growth, at the same time having accumulated vast energy potential, human capital and innovations. However, amid global crisis, Kazakhstan is facing a range of external challenges, such as falling petroleum demand," Mr. Magauov said. "But the wise policy of President Nazarbayev will ensure Kazakhstan's sustainable economic development. New enterprises are established and new jobs are created countrywide on a daily basis. The state supports small and medium-sized business, implements a large-scale anti-crisis program and encourages local businessmen to be active within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)," he added. The director of the association expressed confidence that the 2015 presidential elections will ensure Kazakhstan's stability and prosperity and will enable the country to join the world's 30 most developed states.
