Snap presidential elections to consolidate Kazakhstani society - Club of editors-in-chief
"Representatives of Kazakhstan's media community represented by the Club of editors-in-chief express their support of the idea to hold snap presidential elections in Kazakhstan this year. This initiative is dictated by the interests of the country and results from the unstable and complex international economic situation in the first place. We are confident that these elections will consolidate our society and help it achieve ambitious tasks. In the coming period all efforts of the government and the entire Kazakhstani society should concentrate on fencing off the consequences of negative trends in global economy. Nowadays Kazakhstan demonstrates successful model of socioeconomic development and is the stronghold of peace, unity and prosperity. And it is no coincidence that the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan suggested holding the early presidential elections," the statement of the club reads.
