Snow leopard cub spotted on road in Zhetysu region

The residents of Ushbulak village in the Zhetysu region have captured a rare footage of a snow leopard (Irbis) calf, Kazinform News Agency reports.

This encounter was particularly noteworthy since the number of snow leopards is extremely small in Kazakhstan.

Baurzhan Torekhanov and his companion, traveling along the road, observed a wild animal on the side of the road. They recorded the encounter on video and believed it was a good sign.

Earlier, lynx and snow leopard were caught on trap cameras in different regions of Kazakhstan.
