Snow storms and ice-slick to batter Kazakhstan Fri

Mets issued a weather alert for 15 regions of Kazakhstan, Kazinform Agency reports.

Astana is expected to brace for snow at night, snow and rain mixed during the day. Ice-slick, snow storms, high wind gusting 23-28 m/s and fog are also predicted to grip the city.

Heavy snow and rains, ice-slick, blizzards, and fog are forecast to batter Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, Mangistau, and North Kazakhstan regions.

Ice-slick is expected tomorrow in Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Ulytau regions with high wind predicted locally.

High wind will roll through Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, and Kyzylorda regions.

Zhetysu, Turkistan regions will wake up to foggy streets.

Karaganda region will brace for blizzards and slippery roads.
