Snowden starts new job in Russia - lawyer
"Edward started work on the first [of the month]. Everything is going fine, he's working," Anatoly Kucherena told RIA Novosti, without specifying where Snowden is employed.
Last month, the lawyer said Snowden had got a job maintaining one of Russia's largest websites, but refused to identify the company "for security reasons."
Snowden, a former employee of the US National Security Agency, fled the United States after leaking details of top-secret government surveillance programs to the media, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia granted him political asylum in August, despite extradition demands from the US, where the fugitive American faces charges of espionage and theft of government property. Snowden has been living at an undisclosed location in Russia since then.
