Snowfall, blizzard to batter Kazakhstan Nov 12-14

Kazhydromet national meteorological service has issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for November 12-14, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to the met service, almost all regions of the country are expected to see unstable weather in three days coming, with snow and rain to hit southwestern, southern and southeastern areas. Blizzard and icy road conditions are forecast in the north, east and center, and gusting wind is predicted countrywide.

Heavy snow is forecast in the East Kazakhstan region on November 12, and in the mountainous districts of the southeast on November 12-13. Heavy precipitation (rain and snow) will hit south of Kazakhstan on November 13. Fair weather without precipitation is forecast in western regions on November 14.

Temperatures are expected to rise from 0-11°C to -8+3°C in western areas at night, from -8-18°C to -3-15°C in northwestern, northern, and central areas and from -5-12°C to 0-8°C in the daytime.

On November 13, the mercury may drop to -10-25°C in the country’s east at night, and to -5-16°C in the daytime. On November 14, the temperatures will increase to -7-20°C at night, and to -2-13°C in the daytime.

Gradual decrease in the temperatures is forecast in the south, southeast from +6-6°C to -1-10°C at night, and to -3-5°C during daylight hours.
