Snowfall in store for Kazakhstan throughout Thursday

Heavy snow is expected today in the north and southeast of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Kazhydromet.

The country’s east is forecast to brace for heavy snowfall.

Weather without precipitation is expected in the west and south of Kazakhstan.

Fog is predicted to blanket the country’s west, north and southeast with ice-slick and high wind in the north and west.

As earlier reported, a weather warning was issued for 17 regions of Kazakhstan as well as Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.

Kazakhstan braced for snowstorms and heavy precipitations on January 8.
