Snowstorm shuts down roads in three regions of Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Roads have been closed in three regions of Kazakhstan due to worsening weather conditions, the Committee of Emergency Situations under the Ministry of Interior informs.
Thus, "Yekaterinburg-Almaty" (1275-1353 km) road section has been closed in Akmola region due to heavy black ice, blizzards and zero visibility.
"Ulyanovsk-border of Karaganda region" (94-294 km) and "Pavlodar-Uspenka-up to the border of the Russian Federation" (0 -152 km) road sections of Pavlodar region are shut down for all types of vehicles because of snowstorm.
In Karaganda region due to worsening weather conditions (snow storm, ice slick) vehicular traffic is restricted on "Almaty - Yekaterinburg" (1037-1142 km), "Botakara-Kalkaman" (0-93km) sections of roads.
