Snowstorms to batter the greater part of Kazakhstan

Mets issued storm alerts for 15 regions of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Astana will brace for snow, ice-slick and snowstorms on December 3. The high wind gusting 15-20, 23-28 m/s, locally 30 m/s and more will sweep through the city.

Shymkent city, Atyrau, Zhetysu, Kyzylorda, Mangistau regions and mountainous districts of Turkistan region will wake up to foggy streets.

Ice-slick and snowstorms are expected to batter West Kazakhstan.

High winds will roll through Abai region.

Slippery roads and high wind are in store for Aktobe and Kostanay regions.

Ice-slick and strong wind gusting 23-28 m/s are forecast for Karaganda region.

Pavlodar region will brace for rain and snow, ice-slick and snowstorms, strong wind gusting 23-28m/s.
