SOCAR joins Dinar Standard 100 rating

BAKU. February 18. KAZINFORM DinarStandardis has released a rating of 100 best companies of 2008.

According to dinarstandard.com, the top ten on the list were Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Arabia), National Iranian Oil Company (Iran), Petroliam Nasional Bhd. (Malaysia), Kuwait Petroleum Corp. (Kuwait), Iraq National Oil Co. (Iraq), Koc Holding A.S. (Turkey), Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (UAE), Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Saudi Arabia), Sonatrach (Algeria) и Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (Nigeria). The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is ranking 15th in the rating. Along with Azerbaijan, the rating included two companies of Kazakhstan, 19th place is taken by the state company Kazmunaigas and 44th by the extractive company Kazakhmys. The list is concluded by Independent Petroleum Group (Kuwait). Notably, SOCAR was ranking 16th in the rating of 100 best companies of 2007 and Kazmunaygas 28th, Kazinform quotes TodayAz.
