Sochi 2014: Kazakh short trackers Bekzhanov, Nikisha fail in Men's 1500m Heats

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani short trackers Aydar Bekzhanov and Denis Nikisha have represented Kazakhstan in Men's 1500 m Heats at the Iceberg Skating Palace in Sochi today.

During the qualification Aydar Bekzhanov covered the distance of 1500 m in 2:19.713. It took Denis Nikisha 2:16.452 to cover the same distance. Unfortunately for our athletes the results were not good enough to qualify for the semifinals. Niels Kerstholt from the Netherlands and Jack Whelbourne from Great Britain showed the best results in the qualification round.
