Sochi 2014: Kazakh snowboard fails to pass qualification in parallel giant slalom
ASTANA-SOCHI. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani snowboarder Valeriya Tsoy could not advanced to the round of 16 in the Women's Parallel Giant Slalom at the XXII Winter Olympic Games, Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.

In Run 1, Tsoy paired with Stefanie Mueller from Switzerland finished with the result of 57.53 seconds. She improved her result during Run 2 in pair with Gloria Kotnik from Slovenia and showed the result of 57.04 seconds.
After the giant slalom event the Kazakh athlete was ranked 23rd. Only 16 out of 32 competitors eased into the round of 16.
So far, Kazakhstan boasts only one medal - figure skater Denis Ten grabbed bronze in figure skating.
